Currently CEO of CollabNet, a Vector Capital-owned leader in open Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). He also serves as an Operating Partner at Vector, advancing its position as a transformational partner to technology businesses. Prior to that, he served as president and CEO of AccelOps, a provider of a leading IT operations analytics platform for cloud and virtualized infrastructures. Prior to that, he served as president and CEO of Tidal Software, a leading application automation software solution provider, which later was acquired by Cisco. After the Cisco acquisition, Mr. Brenton served in various follow-on capacities, including Vice President of Advanced Services and as Senior Vice President of Engineering for Cisco's cloud-based Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) software offerings. At both AccelOps and Tidal Software, Mr. Brenton more than tripled sales under his tenure while focusing both companies on disruptive product introductions.
During his 25-year career, Mr. Brenton also served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of NetIQ's Security and Administration business unit and has held various leadership positions at NetIQ, Compaq Computer Corporation, BMC Software, and IBM. He received a master's in business and public management from Rice University and a bachelor of science degree from Mount Union College.
Amir is an accomplished financial professional with over 25 years of leadership experience in finance and management. His background ranges across a number of public and private innovative software (SaaS & Enterprise) and networking firms, along with deep international experience. He takes a holistic view of a business, having managed a wide range of fiscal and administrative functions to support the introduction of dozens of new products from concept stage to commercialization.
Before joining CollabNet, he was CFO of Precise Software, an enterprise software firm in the APM arena. Precise was acquired by Idera Corporation in 2013. Prior to Precise, he was CFO of EnergyConnect, a public SaaS software firm where he led acquisition of the company by Johnson Controls Inc. in 2011. He also served as CFO& VP of Operations for Aperto Networks, a leading provider of WiMAX broadband wireless access systems and CFO& VP of Finance & Administration of Resumix, a human skills management software firm, where he led the spin-off and management buyout of the company from parent Ceridian Corporation. Resumix was acquired by Hotjobs.com in 1999.
Amir was also a partner with Tatum, an executive services firm with a focus on the office of CFO, where he served as interim CFO of companies such as Magellan Navigation (handheld navigation products), Expresso Fitness (SaaS software for fitness equipment), Precise Software(APM software) and Chemtex.
He earned an MBA in finance and management from Stanford School of Business and BA in Economics from Stanford University.
In his role as CMO, Khim works with the team on all aspects of marketing, including lead generation, product and corporate marketing. Khim brings product marketing and management experience from his time with global LED player Philips Lumileds and was a management consultant with McKinsey & Co prior to that. Khim is a member of Vector Capital's Value Creation team.
David Smith serves as the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Field Operations at CollabNet. He leads all sales and operations efforts that support the company's global growth strategy. He is responsible for driving CollabNet's position as the company introduces new innovations into the competitive global market of software development and delivery solutions.
David is a senior level executive with nearly 20 years of experience leading sales teams at large enterprise-scale organizations. His experience is rooted in publicly traded companies, and he has also led teams at early stage and mid-sized companies.
Prior to CollabNet, David served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Enterprise Success Officer at Whitehat Security, where he helped double sales in three years. He also held vice president of sales roles at GoGrid, EdgeWave, 3Com and FrontRange Solutions. He was a key member of the FrontRange executive team responsible for driving revenue up from $60 million to $130 million, which led to the company's successful sale.
Tony Farinaro has built and led teams in project management, systems design, IC design, and software development for the military, aerospace/defense, medical instrumentation and monitoring, communications, security industries. Tony was VP and General Manager of Global Services at Actel where he led the global services team.
Andy has in excess of 20 years experience in the software development tools, process, and IT operations automation market across EMEA. He has successfully worked for software start up organisations and some of the largest IT companies in the world building a market presence, developing channels and creating highly effective sales and technical teams. During his career at Rational Software, Borland, Togethersoft and Agitar he has developed a deep understanding of what it takes for companies to successfully build software of a high quality at scale in a geographically distributed model. This combined with his experience in the IT operations and infrastructure market gained while working with Cisco and IBM provides a practical insight into how companies can successfully implement DevOps.
Ted has more than 25 years of experience managing large enterprise software projects. He comes from the Cloud and Systems Management Group at Cisco, where as a senior director, he managed Cisco Automation for Cloud, Cisco Cloud Portal, Enterprise Scheduler, Enterprise Orchestrator and Intelligent Automation for SAP products. Previous to Cisco, Ted was part of Tidal Software where he was responsible for managing development, quality assurance, support, and user documentation of all of products. Before that, he was vice president of engineering for the Security, Administration and Migration products business unit of NetIQ Corporation, where he managed the development of products that boosted its quarterly revenue growth by 95 percent within four quarters. Before NetIQ, Ted spent 14 years at BMC Software, where he was vice president of DB2 Solutions, and prior to that served in various operational and support roles for several large enterprise corporations' Information Technology divisions.
Thomas Hooker is vice president of marketing at Collabnet. As the head of CollabNet's marketing team, he oversees demand generation, brand, customer marketing, public relations, analyst relations, product marketing, and corporate communications. A 20+ year veteran of high-tech Thomas has held Marketing, Product Management and Engineering positions at a variety of leading companies including BMC, Boole & Babbage, Tidal Software and Cisco.
Kevin Hansen is the Senior APAC at CollabNet. He brings over 15 years of experience in technology sales and marketing, with an international business development background for software organizations. He has previously served as business development advisor for Hitachi Solutions where he was responsible for integrating new technologies into the Hitachi System portfolio of partner organizations. Prior to that he has also held senior positions with other US based technology company promoting software solutions to customers across the APAC region. Kevin is fluent in Japanese.
Robertson is responsible for the DevOps product line at CollabNet. Prior to CollabNet, Eric served as Director of services and portfolio management for enterprise solutions at Unisys. Eric joined Cisco through a company acquisition, where he led product management for Cisco's cloud automation and SAP ALM extension offerings. Eric has successfully held product development, services and management roles with enterprises and start-ups and has provided consulting services to Fortune 500 companies. Eric holds a patent in the area of virtualization and a Master's Degree in Electrical and Software Engineering from University of Texas in Austin and continues to further his research in domain- specific languages, and intelligent automation.
Rob is Managing Director at Vector Capital. Rob's areas of expertise include enterprise software, infrastructure software, public company investing and corporate spinouts. He sits on the Board of Cambium Networks, Inc. which he spun out of Motorola Solutions in 2011, Corel Corporation, which he took private in 2010, and Idera, Inc. which he combined with Precise Software in 2013. Prior to its acquisition by Idera, Rob was also a director of Precise Software Solutions, Inc.

He works alongside the Investment Team at Vector and great Management Teams at the portfolio companies designing winning business strategies, and making it happen. Ariel has significant experience running strategic and operational transformations across technology businesses.
Jason's background includes decades of executive experience within software, mobile and cloud systems management industries. He is the former Chief Executive Officer of Automic Software, a global leader for IT process automation.
David is a Managing Director at Vector Capital and is responsible for the firm's deal origination efforts. Prior to joining Vector, David was most recently a Managing Director at Piper Jaffray and prior to that worked at RBC Capital Markets and Cowen & Co.
Bill Portelli is Chairman of the Board and cofounder of CollabNet. Bill has been a business innovator in open source, globally distributed software development and on-demand provisioning since the late '90s. Bill's background includes 30+ years of experience in creating businesses and driving startups to rapid growth through to successful IPO and acquisition, as well as executive staff leadership in billion dollar companies. He has consistently conceived of and led teams to deliver client-enabling IT strategies, products and services in both the hardware and software industries. In recognition of his accomplishments as a leader in global software development, Bill was honored at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, with the Technology Pioneer Award in 2010.
