The investment banking arm of Germany's Dresdner Bank AG teamed up with CollabNet to create openadaptor.org™; (http://www.openadaptor.org/) the site that hosts the source code and open source development project for the worldwide openadaptor community. For openadaptor.org, CollabNet is providing the CollabNet environment to enable geographically dispersed groups of developers to collaborate on software projects. openadaptor is a proven enterprise-level Java™-based software toolkit and platform that allows system administrators to easily integrate applications across disparate systems. It allows the rapid, simple and often code-free integration of any system to any other system, enabling the complete supply chain, plus internal systems, to be integrated while allowing access to the Web.

"Having made the decision to open source the openadaptor software, we felt it important to select a partner whose skills, capabilities and experience in the open source community would enable us to manage that process effectively. CollabNet matched that profile. The DrKW team selected CollabNet to provide the strategy and infrastructure necessary to making the openadaptor community a successful example of how open source methods can benefit both our firm and the overall financial industry."

Bill Barnett, global head, IT architecture, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein
