CollabNet powers Japanese Open Source Community
Collaborative Development Platform Helps Japan Grow as Center of Asian Open Source Development
BRISBANE, Calif., April 18, 2005 — CollabNet, the leading provider of on-demand distributed software development solutions, today announced the Open Source Collaboration Joint Network (http://www.OSCJ.net/), a new community to host Japanese open source software projects, has selected CollabNet as their enabling technology supplier. OSCJ.net is an open source ecosystem designed to foster the development of free and open source software between Japanese businesses. The OSCJ.net environment is based on CollabNet® Enterprise Edition, a powerful collaborative development environment that addresses the needs of globally distributed software development team across the application development life-cycle, and is supported by Ten Art-ni.
Using the CollabNet environment, OSCJ.net members can collaborate on projects and exchange information on any number of open source projects. The CollabNet environment integrates applications for software development, project management, knowledge management, and communication management. The CollabNet environment is available on-demand, as a managed service, greatly reducing administration and infrastructure costs.
