Recognized for Leadership in Emerging Technology
BRISBANE, Calif., July 12, 2006 — CollabNet, the leading provider of on-demand collaborative software development solutions, today announced that it has been chosen by AlwaysOn as one of the Top 100 Private Company award winners. CollabNet was handpicked by the AlwaysOn editorial panel based on a set of five criteria - technology innovation, market potential, customer adoption, media buzz and investor value creation.
CollabNet and the AO100 will be honored as part of the AO2006: Stanford Summit, July 25-27, at the Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center on the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto, Calif. It will bring together successful entrepreneurs, business and political thought leaders, and top venture capitalists to spot trends and spark new ideas and initiatives.
The AO100 was selected from over 1,000 companies, peer-nominated by leading venture capitalists, investment bankers and industry analysts. The AO100 consists of private companies at all stages of development, from early to late stage.
CollabNet embodies the ideals of the AO100 by enabling enterprises and open source communities to achieve new levels of collaboration, innovation and agility in software development projects. CollabNet brings open source best practices to global and distributed development teams, improving the quality and delivery of software projects and overall business performance. CollabNet's Web-based development environment, collaboration tools and services allow organizations to easily implement, scale and collaborate on projects across the globe.
"The AO100 companies are driving the next wave of innovative technologies that are disrupting the old guard and shaping the new media landscape," said Tony Perkins, founder of AlwaysOn. "As ever, we were inundated with nominations from leading companies, and it's heartening to know that tomorrow's thought leaders and technology visionaries are already out there. My congratulations to each AO100 winner - these are the companies which we predict will have the greatest market traction, strongest innovation and most game-changing approaches this year."
"We are honored to join an elite group of companies that are pushing business innovation beyond traditional boundaries," said Bill Portelli, CollabNet President and CEO. "We continue to offer one of the most recognized and innovative development solutions on the market having won 10 prestigious industry awards already in 2006.
