CollabNet expands Business success in Asia
New Vice President of Asia Pacific Taki Katashiba Leverages Experience and Network to Accelerate Growth in Asia
BRISBANE, Calif., May 29, 2007 — CollabNet, the primary sponsor of the Subversion open source project and leading provider of collaborative software development solutions, today announced the appointment of Taki Katashiba as vice president of Asia Pacific. Katashiba brings over 15 years of experience in the software industry and will be influential in steering CollabNet's business to new highs in customer acquisition and revenues. CollabNet currently has a well-established base of over 35 customers in the Asia Pacific region, which includes high profile corporations such as Sharp, SK Telecom, Reuters, and Mitac.
Katashiba has held various management positions, primarily focusing on the Asian market and working with innovative and global Fortune 1000 companies such as Corporate Software/Stream International, Solectron, Fujitsu Systems Business of America and Questra Corporation. The addition of Katashiba exemplifies CollabNet's strategy of building an experienced management team to lead expansion in software development growth regions in China, Japan, Korea, and India, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
