CollabNet Strengthens Management Team with Key Additions
Seasoned executives Tony de la Lama, Mike Bellissimo and Anil Bakshi bring over 50 years of industry experience to drive Business Strategy, Marketing and International Growth
April 10, 2008 — CollabNet® (www.collab.net), the leading provider of solutions for distributed software development and the company behind Subversion®, the world’s #1 Software Configuration Management tool, today announced the expansion of its management team with the appointment of three vice presidents: Tony de la Lama will drive worldwide marketing and corporate strategy, Mike Bellissimo will lead online business and community strategy, and Anil Bakshi will oversee CollabNet’s growth in India.
Tony de la Lama, vice president of worldwide marketing and corporate strategy
Tony leads CollabNet’s worldwide marketing activities as well as corporate strategy that will position the company for its next stage of growth. Tony is an experienced executive with a strong track record of driving new business success across a range of information-technology domains. Previously, at BEA System, he was vice president and general manager of WebLogic Integration and AquaLogic Service Business products. Prior to BEA, Tony spent 15 years at Borland Software where he was vice president and general manager of the Java Business Unit and drove the success of Borland's market-leading Java development platform – JBuilder from $25M to over $100M in revenue in 3 years.
Mike Bellissimo, vice president of online business and community strategy
Mike Bellissimo is responsible for CollabNet’s online business strategy, implementing increased developer services world wide to drive revenue growth, partnerships, and overall customer satisfaction. Mike leads CollabNet’s strategy in supporting over 1.5M CollabNet Desktop users, 2M open source Subversion users and CollabNet's technology partners. He joins CollabNet from Sun Microsystems where he drove key initiatives including operating platform adoption at top accounts, the launch of industry-leading services such as grid technology to developers, the management of the Java developer community, and the sales operations of the business alliance between Sun, Netscape and AOL.
Anil Bakshi, general manager and country head (Chennai, India)
Anil Bakshi is general manager and country head, India. Anil is responsible for the corporate management of CollabNet Software Private Limited, CollabNet’s subsidiary in Chennai, India. Additionally, Anil oversees market development and growth of CollabNet in the Indian market, including sales, brand development and go-to-market partnerships with strategic SIs. With over 19 years of experience in the IT industry, Anil previously held senior management positions at IBM, MRO Software, and QX Systems and Genesis Systems.
