SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 11, 2016 — CollabNet®, a global leader in enterprise software development and delivery solutions that help customers create high-quality applications at speed, today announced continued momentum during the first half of 2016 as it closed the second quarter. The company built on the path set in the first quarter with positive results in new license revenue, upgrades and renewal rates of more than 90 percent. The company continued improving operations and saw increased demand for its flagship product, TeamForge, a powerful platform that enables enterprise software development, delivery and collaboration at speed and scale. Highlights also include increased product uptake in the government, high-tech, finance and healthcare sectors. CollabNet also received major awards and launched a strong new community giving partnership with #YesWeCode.
CollabNet was the recipient of two prestigious industry awards in the second quarter. The Best of Interop Award in the Applications category recognized TeamForge for its innovation in Application Lifecycle Management and DevOps. The company was also named to the SD Times 100 list for the 13th consecutive year, recognizing TeamForge in the ALM and Development Tools category.
“I’m proud of how the market is receiving our solutions,” said Flint Brenton, chief executive officer of CollabNet. “As the software development industry evolves, the concepts of Agile, along with ALM and DevOps, are being interpreted into the next generation of solutions, which will emphasize greater team collaboration, traceability, visibility, integration and enterprise agility. So while we’ve been running the business, we’ve also been investing in advancing our development, marketing and sales, as well as making other operational changes, all in order to capture new market opportunities quickly.”
Brenton explained, “Enterprises want to develop quality software faster but are hitting the limitations of their workgroup and functional point tools and monolithic approaches to software creation. Those limits are revealing the market’s need for ways to first encompass and unify the capabilities of the hodge-podge of tools, data and processes used across the modern application delivery lifecycle and then to go beyond that to gain superior operational visibility and actionable metrics. CollabNet understands this trend, so our vision, expertise and innovations help enterprises move past those limitations. Building on our momentum, we’ll deliver next-generation capabilities in the second half of the year that will take the concept of delivering quality software at speed to another level.”
The company also announced a community outreach and giving partnership with #YesWeCode, a Dream Corps initiative designed to bring technology training and industry connections to 100,000 young people in communities of color. CollabNet is providing Agile and Scrum software training for free to #YesWeCode Coding Corps graduates and teaming with #YesWeCode to increase awareness.
