Speakers to Present on Latest Agile Tools and Practices
BRISBANE, Calif., Nov. 10, 2010 — CollabNet®, the leader in Agile application lifecycle management (Agile ALM) in the Cloud, announced today that Certified Scrum Trainer Dan Rawsthorne, Senior Systems Architect Darryl Bowler, and Senior Software IT Architect Nick Gulrajani will each present at this year’s Agile Development Practices East. The conference covers the latest developments in Agile methods, technologies, tools, and leadership principles and will be held Nov. 14-19 at the
Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Fla.
Rawsthorne will lead a half-day tutorial titled “Release Planning: A Strategy for Success,” which will outline “rules of thumb” for developing a release strategy. He will also lead “Story-o-types: The Patterns Within Stories,” which will focus on the commonalities among the stories that make up a backlog. “Release Planning: A Strategy for Success” will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 8:30 a.m. EST in Salon 10. “Story-o-types: The Patterns Within Stories” will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 12:45 p.m. EST in Salon 4.
In “Build and Test in the Cloud,” Bowler will share ways that today’s Agile teams use Cloud provisioning to provide instantaneous build and test resources. He will also demonstrate the popular Hudson build tool, which implements continuous integration and continuous feedback to promote build asset reuse. “Build and Test in the Cloud” will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 10:00 a.m. EST in Salon 5.
Gulrajani will join HP Sr. Product Manager Raziel Tabib in a technical presentation titled “Collaborative, Agile Software Development in the Cloud.” The session will examine best-practice scenarios for managing Agile development with end-to-end traceability from product backlog to release. “Collaborative, Agile Software Development in the Cloud” will be held on Wednesday, Nov.17, 10:00 a.m. EST in Salon 8.
