Agile Software Development for Complying with HR 2467 2010 Defense Budget - Sec 804
Agile Software Development for Complying with HR 2467 2010 Defense Budget - Sec 804
As the Department of Defense (DoD) moves to transform and streamline IT
acquisition, Agile methods of software engineering are becoming more commonplace.
There have been improvements in the success rate of software development
projects; however, as evidenced in the popular Standish Group CHAOS Report, less
than 40% of IT projects are completed on time and on budget - and when they are,
the technology used to meet requirements is typically outdated.
To meet the needs of our Armed Forces, IT must be relevant, cutting-edge and
able to keep up with the demands of modern warfare. MTCSC, in partnership with
CollabNet, the leader in Agile Application Lifecycle Management (Agile ALM), has
been at the forefront of supporting DoD's IT efforts.
