Learn the basic rules of Scrum. What is the primary role of the Product Owner? What is the ScrumMaster’s job, and how does that differ from a project manager? What is the role of management in Scrum? Who are the stakeholders and how do they interact with the team? Why is self-organization important?

The CSM certificate is granted by the Scrum Alliance to those who have taken a CSM course from CollabNet VersionOne and who pass the online test. It's a three-step process:

  1. Familiarize yourself with the basics of Scrum. Review our Scrum Training Series e-learning modules
  2. Attend a CSM course
  3. Obtain your CSM certification after completing the course and passing the CSM test

Additionally, if certification by the Scrum Alliance is important to you, we will work with you to help you pass the certification exam. More than 97% of our students pass the certification exam on the first try. Taking the test is easy - simply follow the instructions that come in the class follow-up email. If you want additional preparation before the course or if you want to discuss the results of the exam, simply contact your trainer.

Finally, as an added value to course participants, CollabNet VersionOne reserves two seats at each of its public courses for individuals who have already successfully completed a course from CollabNet VersionOne but would like to take it a second time at no cost. This allows participants to explore Scrum training more deeply or attend a session led by a different Certified Scrum Trainer. The offer is provided on a first-come, first served basis, and must be used for the same course as the original (i.e., an individual who completed a CSM course may enroll in another CSM course, but not a Product Owner course). This offer is available for six months following the original course, so please contact CollabNet VersionOne as early as possible to reserve your seat.

Full refunds are available up until 10 business days before the scheduled event date. Cancellations made within 10 business days of the event will be credited toward future events, however, no refunds will be issued. Rescheduling course attendance will be subject to a $150 transfer fee. Substitutions will be accepted at any time prior to the commencement of the course. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the course must be attended within 6 months of the participant 's ™ original sign-up date, and no refunds or credits will be available for participants who fail to attend a course within this six-month period. No refunds or credits will be available for participants who fail to attend both days of the course.
